The Donation to the ACS

For those close to us, you know we were afraid we were not going to be able to make a donation to the American Cancer Society. While the Ball was a social success, and a fun time, it was not a financial one. At one point, only one day before the event, we were even fearing we'd have to cancel the event because of the financial demands of the hotel.

But as you know, the event went on, the bills have been paid, and we are in the red.

Yet, this is the time of miracles, and we did not want to have to say we could make no donation.

So, while it isn't much, we have made a donation, from our own pockets, to the American Cancer Society.

The donation is in the amount of $200.00. This comes in at about 10% of the ticket sales. Not proceeds -- sales. The donation was made with no restriction, so all services of the ACS will benefit. Also, as I understand it, it stays in the community, so it is the Arizona division that benefits.

We learned from our mistakes, and have every intention of making La Bal Masqué Nocturne an even bigger affair in the future and we hope we can make a donation again!
